An Autumn Storm

Sheets of rain pour from an angry sky,
A golden leaf breaks from its branch,
Taking flight into the violent wind,
It flutters through the torrent,
Landing softly on the green grass below,

As a Bluejay bellows out a sharp call in the distance,
The storm’s power overwhelms the trees, rivers, and birds,
But finally, like the leaf softly landing,
The storm ends,
And the autumn sky clears.
