Autumn Sunsets

Warm lavender blue light streams down from the setting sun,
Layering the wet road below in a glistening display of soft color,
A sharp autumn wind rips through the valley.

A little piece of paradise,
An hour from anywhere,
Where the sunsets are sweeter,
Farms sprawl in the distance,
And the ghosts of a rich history echo from the amber mountains above.
