Certainly for anyone who has been to the Jersey shore, Seagulls have been part of the experience. For many people it is in a positive way; the call of a Gull is one of the first signs you are getting close to your maritime destination. However, in recent years the population number of Seagull species has increased along the Jersey coast, and this has lead to quite a few problematic encounters. Injuries and other issues have occurred as a result of Seagull population growth. With all that said it is important to remember that they are still part of the ecosystem, they are part of going down the shore. While plans to control populations to healthy numbers may be important and ethical. It is still imperative that we all remember these are living creatures, that are a part of the shared environment and ecosystem we are visiting or living in and should be respected as such. Let me know your thoughts on Seagulls.
